In a retrospective analysis the authors present series of 49 patients admitted into the lntensive Care Unit of the Pasteur Hospital, during the years 1994 through 1998, suffering from High Digestive Hemorrhages. Average age exceeded 60 years.
Overa/ mortality of the seies was 30. 6% and if divided
into goups of surgica/ and non surgical patients was
40% and 24.1% respective/.
