Abstract

Intrahemorrhagic endoscopy is fundamental in determining etiology of digesti ve hemorrhages, especially in view of the fact that potentially bleeding lesiona!
associations are frequent. By this method the proportion of so-called "hemorrhages of undetermined origin" has decreased, and its deathrate has been reduced.
It has also resulted in a re uction of both the socalled hemorrhages "of undetermined origin" and in the deathrate of digestive hemorrhages by making possible diagnosis and effective therapy. Thanks to it, acute hemorrhagic erosive lesions
