Abstract

The advent of laparoscopic surgery offers the
surgeon an alternative far the treatment of
spleen pathology, even if it is not very
frequent. As regards emergencíes, basically
closed trauma, apart from the advantages of
diagnostic laparoscopy it adds the possibility
of treating hemoperitoneum, controlling
bleeding source, seeing other lesions and
making therapeutica/ decisions according to
findings: expectant conduct or surgery with
conservation ar excision of the spleen
