Abstract

The incidence of cancer of the pancreas has risen,
but it sti/1 has poor oncologic prognosis and a
resection rafe lower than 10%. The authors present
the case of a young ma/e patient who presented
body and tail cancer infiltrating stomach, /eft third
of the transverse colon and duodeno-jejunal angle;
regional exeresis surgery was considered to be the
only acceptab/e therapeutic option. There were no
complications but the patient died 42 days /afer
with massive metastasis in the liver, in a state of
neoplasic cachexia.
