Abstract

Between March 1992 and Ju/y 1993 58 patients with an
average age of 36 years who carried non-complicated
inguinal hernias were operated on by means of
Japaroscopy with modified L Schultz technique. In 2
cases herniary pathology on the right was associated to
Jeft varocele; in the same procedure ligation without
section of the left spermatic vein was performed with
good results. In the follow-up which continuen up to the
present, there was only 1 case of recidive (1,7%) wich
occurred 2 months after the operation. There was low
morbility; slight disurin due to bladder catheter, palpa/ion
of the polypropilene cone and abdominal pain due to
pneumoperitoneum
