Control1ed therapeutic evisceration is a procedure
which consists in placing a substitute tissue instead of
closing the abdominal wal! in cases of successive reoperations,
hyperseptic peritonitis, evisceration in seriously
sick patients or in cases of ample resections due
to superficial infections.
