According to the clínica/ findings, patients with
cardiac wounds are classified as hemodinamically
unstable, cardiac tamponade, the patient with abdominal
Jesions and the clinically stable patient.
The surgica/ indication is pointed out in al/ cases,
the /eft anterolateral thoracotomy as the appropriate
emergency approach and some important
technical features.
We present a personal series with 13 cases (8
gunshot wounds and 5 stab wounds), al/ operated
as emergencies, with good outcome in 6 patients
