In a clínica/ of rare frequency, firearms had inflicted
a traumatic wound in thoracic duct.
The presence of kilo microns in pleural drainage
liquid, confirmed diagnosis.
lnitial treatment was conservative, but it was decided
to resort to surgery, taking into consideration clinica/
and paraclinica/ evidence of ma/nutrition, as we/1
as alterations of the milieu intérieur. We identified
outpour of clear liquid from mediastine and so/ved it
through a stitch on mediastinal ce// tissue, covering
the site of leakage.
On day 24 of evolution, sepsis appeares, the starting
point being of bilateral pneumonitis. This condition
was favorable resolved.
