Abstract

The authors present three cases of benign gastric
leiomyoblastomas and a malignant jejunal case
with good evolution in the former three and death
of the latter. This is an infrequent tumoral pathology
described in 1960 and named by the WHO as
"epithelioid leiomyomas". They are circumscribed,
without capsule, f/eshy, of varied size, composed
by nodules of fusiform ce/Is and round ones of
epithelioid type. Surgical treatment consisting of
lesion resection with enough margin cures the
benign cases while malignan! ones recidive ar
metastasize in 63% of the cases.
