The plastico-adherential biological response to
polyetilene prosthetic meshes of the intraperitoneal Mar/e
type with and without epiplum covering was studied
experimental/y. In a short time expensive, persisten/, firm
visceral adhesions were formed as a reaction to the
uncovered mesh, the covered mesh and its epipfum
covering remains clear. Results were analysed by means
of statistic tests and conclusions were presented
