Summary
The authors present the new staging for lung cancer and
comment on the jeaning of the new T and M features. The
most significan/ changes in the staging are pointed out: the
passage of T1 and N1 to stage JI/ and the division of stage
11 intotwo subgroups, a (T3 or N2Mo) and b (T4 or N2Mo),
surgical limitation for lung cancer. A proposal for lung
cancer evaluation is made by ordering tests in selective,
orderly, and proggressive way, dividing these into tour
different levels: primary, non invasive, invasive, and
thoracotomy.
