Abstract

Presented is a clinical case of sternum malignant
lymphoma, treated by superior hemisternectomy, subs•
tituting by a Marlex mesh for the parietal opening.
A bíbliographic review of the subject is províded,
authors point out that sternum tumors are very seldom
found and emphasize the contribution computarized
tomography may make to the study of them.
Authors conclude that the material selected for the
prosthesic substitution should be the polipropylene
mesh because its characteristics are close to the ideal
prosthesis.
