A case of stenosis of the popliteal artery in a
young man with family bistory of early claudication
pain, due to a complex lesion is presented.
There were an association between a cystic
medial necrosis and trapping due to a fibrous expansion
of the interna} gastrocnemius. Treatment
consisted in complete popliteal artery resection and
a venous graft replacement.
