Fulguration, labelling and radiotherapy in palliative treatment of cancer of the rectum

The authors report on procedure used in pa!Iiative treatment of adenocarcinoma of rectum. It consists in
the association of fulguration and externa! radiotherapy directed towards the tumoral area which has been fulgurated. To this end edges of fulgurated area are
labelled with radiopache elements. Indications are listed and techniques described.
