In a patient with carcinoid tumor of small intestine, arteriography and histology of surgically removed part confirmed the typical vasculary alterations of such
tumors when located in the small intestine, consisting of sclerosis of vascular wall and obliterating endangitis which reduces arterial caliber; this may cause intestinal
gangrene.
