Abstract

This is a retrospective review of 80 cases of - parotid tumors: 26 % cancers, 56 % mixed tumors, 7 % Warthin tumors, and 8 % assorted tumors. Out .o f the miXPd
tumors, 6 had recurred after partía! excisions ( enuclcahon or partía! superficial parotidectomy). In the series there was only one recurrence, out of 31 cases, after total superficial parotidectomy, The most important post-operative seque! was facial paralysis. This is very often transient, seldom definitive. rn the excisions of benign tumors facial paralysis generally
complicates the recurred cases
