The internist's co-participation in surgical emergencies has been discussed. We participate in the criterion that "surgical doctor" is a false dissociation and
our collaboration is full commitment. The future will be for intensive treatment centers, in which integration is the fundamental basis. This collaboration can be established throughout the morbid process, but we are interested in highlighting some circumstances.
