Abstract

In this paper we fin etiopathogenic considerations on lymphedemas. The valve function in the lymphodynamic direction of the lymph flow of lymph nodes and of the cistern of Pecquet, is discussed.
The chyle reflux is distinguished from the pelvic lymphatic reflux. Medical and surgical treatment of this
disease is governed by the above considerations. The importance of lymphography in the diagnosis of this disease, is stressed. A case history from our files is presented, together with the results obtained for as
long as three months after operation.
