Metastasis in the skull of differentiated thyroid neoplasm

Abstract

The authors presents two cases of methastasis in cranial
calotte of differentiated neoplasm of the thyroid, one of
them without other distant /esions in which the cranial
tumor was the element that Jed to diagnosis.
Surgica/ resection of the calotte methastasis associated
to externa/ radiotherapy is reccommended for local
control, while total thyroidectomy makes possible
detection and treatment with iodine of other methastasis.
Prognosis is unfavourable in this situation.
