Abstract

The conceptual consideration of Abdominal trauma from the vastness implicit in its title, admits multiple approaches and diverse perspectives. Defining an appropriate approach both to the objectives and to the time and place in which it is contextualized has been one of the most complex aspects to define, especially in full awareness that this is always carried out from an always-on perspective. personal and therefore as subjective as it is limited. In a country like ours, where at the moment we lack a National Trauma System that provides organizational coherence to the most diverse aspects related to the care of traumatized patients and in the absence of a Trauma Center with defined protocols of action audit of the actions and adequacy of the best standards accepted in our time, we considered it necessary to approach the issue from a conceptual approach, trying to prioritize the most accepted paths of action - although sometimes controversial - and that in our opinion constitute the basis on which the current management of these patients is based.
