Abstract

Obstetrically originated lesions in the brachial plexus due to traumatic elongation during childbirth may, in specially indicated cases, be subject to early direct repair before six months old, by means of the use of microsurgical techniques. The therapeutic indication is determined by the clinical evolution and paraclinical examinations. Experience over 17 cases studied during 1982 is presented.
